Carol’s Fundraising Story

I first heard about the work of the Capstone Project last September whilst on a hen weekend with my friend and colleague Lynne.  I was impressed by the work she and others were doing and how the simple things we take for granted made such a difference to the lives of the people the charity supports.
Lynne went to Uganda immediately after that weekend to work there for a couple of weeks.  She brought back amazing photographs of the children that, being a granny myself, reduced me to tears.

A friend of mine was planning to walk the West Highland Way for her nominated charity, and yes you guessed it, I decided to ‘tag along’ and raise money for Capstone.  All money raised by me will go directly to enhance the lives of the children supported by the project.  I know this money will not be spent simply on survival but on genuine enhancement and development opportunities for the children.  Please give generously.

I will be making the 96 mile trek from 1st to 7th July, complete with blister treatment and insect repellent.  Wish me luck and thank you for your generosity.
