The composition of the board of
directors of Capstone Projects allows it to draw on a broad
range of experience as set out below.
|
Derek Marshall |
 |
Derek’s present remit is as
the Operations Director of the new £1.3 million purpose
built
Factory Skatepark
and Youth Support Centre within the City. Previously he
has been involved in the financial management of The Gate
Church and its related businesses over the last 18 years
and has substantial experience in working in and with the
voluntary sector. Derek has been involved in work in rural
Uganda since 1993 which has included taking
groups to visit and work each year. He has a vision to
help resource groups in these types of situations to
enable them to help themselves. He also visited Romania on
five occasions.

Norman
Forrest |
 |
Norman was a
chemistry teacher at a local high school. Having recently
retired from teaching he now works part time at the Skatepark
where he is a director. He is an active church member and has
visited both Uganda and Romania. He is glad to be part of an
organisation which encourages people to support others with
finance so that they in turn can become self sufficient and
make a difference in their communities. Capstone Projects is
such an organisation.

Kenny
Martin |
 |
Kenny works for Perth and Kinross
council as an outreach worker for the social inclusion team.
He has been to Uganda on numerous occasions and has made many
friends there. Kenny is also a musician and contributes to the
worship and music of the church in Uganda. His focus and
vision is to see the young people achieve their potential in
life although they face many adversities. Kenny's interest in
his visits to Uganda is to encourage the young people who do
not have the same opportunities as our young people here in
the west. His heart is very much in Uganda and he is delighted
to be with Capstone and to serve the people there and any
other projects we might be involved in.
|
Bill Pitt |
 |
Bill has a manufacturing joinery
business in Kirriemuir where he is a member of Strathmore
Christian Fellowship in Kirriemuir. He first went to Uganda in
2002 and has been going every year since helping on various
projects and passing on some of his joinery skills.

Alec Macaulay |
 |
Alec has over 30 years accounting
experience in industry and commerce. He has been regularly to
Uganda since 1994. Alec has engaged in voluntary work in life
skills, mainly with adults, for over 25 years. He has a real
desire to encourage and help people to be all that they can
be.
|
Duncan Chisholm |
 |
Duncan has worked for many years
in helping and supporting people with Disabilities into and in
employment. He currently works as an Adviser for a large
Disability Organisation. He is a member of Panmurefield
Village Church in Dundee and has visited Uganda on several
occasions and is very supportive of Capstone’s work in Uganda.

Brian
Young |
 |
Brian works alongside Derek at the
Factory Skatepark and has been actively involved in youth work
for over twenty years. He became involved with Capstone after
being bitten by the bug during a visit to Uganda in 2005.
Since then he has returned to work on projects in Uganda every
year and has visited past projects in Romania. Brian has given
numerous presentations to various groups throughout the
Tayside area and is always seeking new opportunities to boost
the profile of the charity. |
